Corrofit coating system

Ductile iron conform to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12 with a two-layer coated surface protection system on surfaces exposed to environmental conditions.

1. Sandblasting Sa2.5.

2. Hot dip galvanising (EN ISO 1461).

3. Intermediate surface treatment.

4. Organic cover layer:

  • High quality UV-resistant powder coating paint (polyester-based).
  • End colour: Red RAL 3000.
  • Applicable standard: NEN-EN 15733:2018.

02 Intended use

The couplings & fittings can be used in the following conditions,
according to ISO 12944:

  • Fittings and fitting body parts with two-layer coating (1440h NSS):
    • Corrosivity category C4: very high durability (>25 years).
    • Corrosivity category C5: high durability (15-25 years).
  • Geomet® bolts & nuts (720h NSS):
    • Corrosivity category C4: high durability (15-25 years).
    • Corrosivity category C5: medium durability (7-15 years).
